Clairlea hits the TDSB's Celebration Zone page two more times!!
Students Helping Students at Clairlea PS
Under the guidance of Steve Steers, the Clairlea Student Leadership Team have been fundraising to help other students in the community. Fundraising efforts included a school dance and other student and school events bringing their total to an impressive $500. Recently, Clairlea students visited Cliffside PS where they presented their cheque to staff and students at Cliffside in an effort to enhance their mid-morning snack program.
Clairlea's Mountain of Food TrainRecently, Clairlea PS kicked off a culturally aware food drive, called the Mountain of Food Train Drive. The food drive concentrated on the different cultures and different foods needed for the local community. The response from students was overwhelming and wrapped up at the Clairlea Spring Concert where guests viewed the Clairlea Food Train that ran the length of the stage displaying over 25 boxes of food. Trustee Moyer was on hand and remarked on the wonderful phenomenon of students helping students within their school community. | |
